I'm Kirstie, and this is my husband Ray. We own Jigsaws Cafe in Eastbourne.
Having run 3 small Cafe's in the past I have been desperate to start a new venture! So... Here it is... Jigsaws!
The main idea behind Jigsaws was to create a cafe where we change the environment and not the person,
allowing neurotypical and neurodiverse children and adults to enjoy the cafe experience in a low arousal environment.
Jigsaws was designed to provide a safe and welcoming place for children and adults with autism, learning difficulties,
complex needs, anxiety, depression and overall mental health.
With a Sensory room, and 2 separate seating areas Jigsaws is the perfect place to venture out.
We are experienced in working with people with autism & learning disabilities, and will go above and beyond
to make sure that your experience is tailored to your needs and works for you.
We have a simple menu to make choosing as easy as possible, however, it is still full of delicious drinks,
cakes, snacks, breakfasts and light lunches,
When we took over the premises we built a sensory room which is available for use whilst you visit the cafe.
The sensory room has a giant black board wall, sensory bubble lamp, bean bags, sensory items, books, colouring,
puzzles and a DVD player.
I really hope you like what we have started and we look forward to welcoming you into our new project!
